About

Meet your photographer.

Hi, my name is Rebecca and this is my beautiful family…

Get to know me.

My Why

Since I was a little girl, I was always carrying around a camera, capturing the mundane moments of the day. Little did I realise where it was going to lead me. My nan still has up on her wall the photos I took as a child, they are documenting her going about her day, usually gardening. Now, I get to capture these beautiful moments for others too.

During Covid I got given a DSLR as a gift, because apparently they saw something in me, and here I am.

I unfortunately don’t have many photos to look back on of my late mother as she’d never let us take any, so it really touches my heart when I can provide memories to cherish for others. Because I know truly how important they are once your loved ones are gone.

Don't wait for things to be perfect, take the photo now, because believe me, time goes quick. Before you know it, another year has passed. You'll thank yourself for it one day, and if you don't, someone else will.

Home & Hobbies

Born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, though recently relocated to Wexford, Ireland.

You’ll find me at the beach or somewhere in nature most days with my two little ones, listening to books and podcasts or studying a Diploma of Photography and Digital Imaging.

These days for fun, I catch a train into the city with my camera and sit back and watch the world go by, observing and waiting for a moment to capture. Street photography lights me up because there are infinite stories around every second.

My Philosophy

To me, photography is art, passion, storytelling and capturing a memory and to preserve fleeting moments.

It’s about documenting the ordinary and mundane life around me, slowing down, finding appreciation, magic and beauty in the every day and small things in life.

To take a photo is to observe the love, beauty, individuality and chaos of life, and framing it to present and communicate a moment or idea and tell a story about not just what it looked like, but what it felt like.

Photography is about connecting with the essence of humanity and the soul of the world. Observing and capturing humanness to share and inspire.

It’s to offer a gift to those to cherish and treasure forever and hand down for generations. The value of capturing a beautiful moment, to some, is worth more than gold.

For me, photography will always be inclusive, capturing all types of love, connection and moments.

My Style & Approach

When you book me as your photographer, you’ll be booking someone that truly cares and goes over and above to achieve an amazing session and collection of images. No need to stress or worry about how it’s going to go or if your children (or partner) will behave. It’s a relaxed session, and we have time to go with the flow, capturing real moments of connection along the way.

However, it’s important that you should know that I don’t force smiles, I just provide prompts and capture what may come of that. So if you’re adamant on getting a smiley photo of your child or partner, I unfortunately can’t promise that. I can however promise a collection of beautiful, real, candid and authentic moments that capture personalities and connection. You just need to focus on being in the moment, and I’ll focus on the people around you. This is what will make the session flow more naturally.

Booking a photography session is an experience, it’s said that a photographer leaves a piece of them behind, it’s something that you’ll feel and remember when you look at the photos so it’s important that you align with the photographers style and approach and one that can truly represent your family story.
